Teeth Whitening
Typically, youthful tooth enamel is bright white, with 
a lovely opalescent quality. Over time, teeth tend to become dull, dark, brownish, yellowish, and uneven colored. This discoloration is caused largely by foods, beverages, and other dark-colored substances contacting the teeth. Although enamel appears smooth, it is actually porous and absorbs stains rather easily. Teeth whitening is a corrective technique of exposing the teeth to a bleaching agent, which restores the natural brilliance of tooth enamel.
Professional teeth whitening is safe and effective, with more predictable, more dramatic results than over the counter products. It begins with a comprehensive examination to ensure that you are a good candidate, and the process is completed with professional supervision. The formula and technique can be adjusted as needed for patients with sensitivity issues, stubborn stains, or any other specific concerns.

- At-home whitening is a bit more gradual, but equally effective. We provide custom-made trays, professional strength whitening gel, and complete instructions. Due to the precision fit of the trays, your gums are protected from irritation and the gel remains uniformly in contact with your teeth. The trays are worn for a specified length of time each day until desired results are achieved.
Either technique will yield excellent results for most patients. In rare cases, specific stains may be resistant to bleaching. In this situation, the stain can be covered with dental bonding, or the tooth can be covered with a porcelain veneer to achieve the sparkling smile that you desire.
